the art of living

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labour and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

last week I took a little trip up to the Outer Hebrides, a little scouting mission for a project I’ve got coming up. So I grabbed two friends, a chef and a musician, packed Renee (the van) up with a bunch of waveriding equipment, wellies, fishing poles and a ukulele and headed north in the slow lane…this is a gallery of how it all went down…

…just epic, I’m going back

p.s chefs and musicians are just the best travel companions…

so she’s slow and kinda ugly, but she packs a punch and friday she’ll be loaded with boards, fishing rods, friends and cameras and off on an expedition to the scottish isles.

…and yes, that is a little log burner in there.
