Just spent the last week or so shooting the new range of winter jackets for UK based howies. Somehow I managed to persuade them to box up the jackets and send them to me to shoot Australia. With winter still lingering down here in tassie, I grabed a bunch of mates, tents, canoes, big rucksacks and hit the wilderness for some adventures in the lakes and mountains.
What a time!

down south, life goes on…

It’s been a wierd week, I lost a mate from down south, a inspiring man with far too few years under his belt. It’s put my own mortality into perpective and made me realise we are truly blessed to be here. More now than ever I’m going to commit to making the most of the days I have, living through experience and taking some photos along the way, to hopefully, one day, inpire others to do the same.
I know Jonno would approve.
Thanks for the inspiration fella, we will miss ya. RIP.

I’m working on a bit of a mad one at the moment, living in Australia but flying back to the motherland to complete a couple of commissions. My air miles are going through the roof and jet lag is kicking my ass.
Whilst moving about I’m working on a few personal projects in the Southern Island states, here is an insight from the first batch back from the lab…
Aotearoa – north and south, Tasmania & Bruny Island.

“This little newsprint beauty is not a nod to days of yore. It is more of an acknowledgement of things to come. This paper makes me hopeful when I look at it. It makes me hopeful that I will one day light out. That I will leave behind the trappings of what becomes a daily life to literally head into the unknown. Or at the very least not forget what it means to travel. And to be in love. And to be in love with traveling.”
Jeremy Dunn – Embrocation Cycling Journal

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labour and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.
- L. P. Jacks
